Dr Cyril-Igor Grigorieff is a member of the Brussels bar since 2006 and a former member of the Paris bar. He gained experience in matters relating to airline liability in a multi-jurisdiction environment, in European Union regulatory affairs and in aircraft finance in the course of his career in international law firms. He has also gained inside experience working on a secondment for an airline.

Next to his practice, Cyril-Igor gives lectures on aeronautical contracts law at Paris-Saclay University. He is the author of numerous publications in the field of air law. Notably, he has been one of the named contributors to the Belgian Transportation Code since 2010, and the co-editor of the first law book in French on aircraft finance (Le droit du financement des aéronefs, Bruylant, 2017). In 2021, he successfully defended his PhD study on the Regime for International Air Carrier Liability at Leiden University (Uniformity and Fragmentation of the 1999 Montreal Convention on International Air Carrier Liability, Kluwer, 2022).

Cyril-Igor received many accolades for his work (Who’s Who Legal, Legal 500) and is frequently cited by the Court of Justice of the European Union. He is also regularly invited to speak at industry seminars and on television.
